I love Scrivener, but I'm in a pickle. I compiled it, sent it to my editor, edited, and now I'm sitting with a Word Doc that I want back in Scrivener. How do you re-import it and it have everything changed?

Other than that, I LOVE it. I've used it for months now. It's a shiny new car that never loses the clear coat. :)

Amy: You can enter a synopsis by creating a blank text document and then entering the synopsis text in the index card in the Inspector panel at the far right (if you don't see the panel, go to View-->Layout-->Show Inspector). Another option is to add a document while in Corkboard view (must select a folder, like Manuscript). This will show only the index card and you can add the text there. It's sort of like storyboarding. As you add index cards, each one will have a blank text document associated with it, where you can start writing the actual scene when you're ready. Hope that helps!

Sorry so late, Lara. I've been running around crazy getting ready to move into our house tomorrow. So excited! You absolutely can use a photo as a background. Just go to View–>Composition Backdrop (Mac) or View–>Full Screen Backdrop (Windows).
If the image you want is saved within your project, choose it from the submenu.
If not, click Choose, select the desired file, and click Open. Enjoy!
