I often hear a lot of doom and gloom about writing, eg. it's a thankless job wrestling with yourself at 2am in the morning for no money. Thanks Fae, for the reminder that we've signed ourselves up for the Best Job in the World, and exactly how to go about that!

I know all this but I'm going to try writing it down as a work schedule like I did when I worked for someone else. Why didn't I write it down before maybe because if it is written down and in front of me it is a commitment as before at work. I set goals and do the same thing, guess I'll write then down too. My head has lots of room for things to get lost in while I'm putting all this in it. I knew I was a reader as well as writer. I'm going now to get a pen and paper to do this before I forget too. Thanks for the reminder.

In reply to Jess Witkins. Yes, Jess, social media can be a seductive time sump--especially if you're at a point in your manuscript that it "sticky." I'm the least social-media-involved here at WITS, so I have to work at that hour!
