Thanks, Jenny. (Who said I can count?) When I returned the kittens and their mother to the shelter, everyone was waiting for them. It made me feel good that they were welcomed with lots of love. I even got to talk to the officer who will be taking them for their vet checks tomorrow.

I know I learn a lot from animals, wild and domestic - they are a big feature in every book I write. I'm even gradually learning to accept spiders. I tuck one in every book as well.
