Thank you so much for these concrete tips. I've almost finished a set of screen cards for my WIP, and I believe my ms is much stronger. I still have issues (probably deep, personal issues) with collapsing time and transitions. And SO... helps a lot. Still, I find myself slogging through what happens next. I think I'm writing these parts for myself, and that I can go back in revision and blend the facts into the action. Any wise words on how to do it, and how to determine when that is appropriate?

Thanks again! I'm so happy that WITS (Laura Drake!) directed me to Story Genius!

So good. Your Bad Bob example also helps with introducing back story--always a bugaboo. I would also like to learn more and more about deep point of view.

Lisa...Thanks so much for this post. I am knee deep in the revision process and need to do some cutting. This will definitely help me weed out what can go. I have ordered your book so I will have it at my elbow when I start my next book and maybe the revision process won't be so painful.
