Would you have a short list of books written in DEEP POV or having a significant number of passages in DEEP POV that I could look at. The more examples I see, the better I can grasp the technique.

In reply to barbdelong. My 5 week class on deep POV is open right now for registration. The thing with deep POV is that people either learn a few things and then get frustrated because they’re trying to put a puzzle together with only half the pieces. Or - they learn the rules but not the effect the rules intend to create so they struggle knowing when to use the rules and when to break them to create specific effects for readers.

In reply to Jenny Hansen. I like to offer lists when I can. That list could be called - foundations for deep POV. There’s so much more to it, but if you’re writing the whole story in deep POV those few things will take you a long way. IMHO

Lisa, I took your 5-day Deep POV Facebook workshop and found it invaluable. I, too, questioned where and how much of your story should be in deep POV and became bogged down when doing some edits. This post clarifies that question for me. Love the examples. Thanks for this post.

The list of what to keep and what to toss for Deep Point Of View is helpful! I find the uses of different emphasis in POV interesting. I really like the one that leans toward environmental. I am
a visual, full-body learner, so maybe that explains my preference.
