I think I&#039;ve only ever fashioned one character from a person I know. The real-life person was a girlfriend of mine, and the character was my protagonist&#039;s best friend. I thought it fitting. 
Ironically, my girlfriend read the book a year or so after it was published and begged me to tell her who the best friend character was to me. She loved the character, but had no idea who the character reminded her of. 
Go figure. LOL.
