We live way out in the boonies. As far as anyone breaking in goes, it's more likely to be a bear. If someone's in my bedroom, they won't hear the car starting up in the garage. We have a dog. Not that she's anything but "oooh, company! Come in and play!" but bad guys probably don't know that. We JUST got semi-decent cell phone service, but given where we live, response time would be slow. Call me optimistic, naive, but I really don't worry about break-ins where we live, one of the reasons we love it.
