Great post, Karen!
I did several of the things on your toxic productivity list, which I believe contributed to teacher burnout.

As for writing everyday, I feel that should include the day-to-day stuff, email, social media posts, shopping lists, and vacation planning, not strictly writing and editing chapters.
Balance in all things is vital.

Thank you for always taking the time to read WITS, Mary! I've read and heard the "write daily" advice often, too. I'm glad I finally took the time to do some research and find how differently many writers structure their work. Welcome to my club. ;)

Agreed, James, that some of the warning signs are how many of us operate in other areas of our life, too. If it works for us, great! The hard part is realizing when it's not working. Thanks for your comment. (Although you probably won't see this since you're back at work. lol)

That's a great strategy, Jacquolyn (especially the part about your husband respecting your time. Hmmm...). And I've celebrated every milestone in this journey, with many more to come. I should buy stock in Prosecco!
