What I love about this space is that when it is done well, marketing becomes a part of the storytelling process in some ways!

It *is* addictive, Barb. You're absolutely correct to be a little cautious! I'm loving it... and I felt the same way when I stumbled over it. Interestingly enough, my journey down this rabbit hole started during the LAST writer's strike. This led me to some fabulous indie work that then led me to collaborative storytelling. I'd already been following the transmedia trends and was fascinated by fandoms. But... wow. And the best part is that it is SO MUCH FUN!

It's a different approach to storytelling, that's for sure.

Larping is so much fun! I haven't done it in years! Dominion of Darkness was inspired by my last adventure as I played a princess and found myself fascinated by a handsome young wizard! True: Nian's workbench very much resembled that adventure, minus the severed talking human head. I didn't want that in the book!

LoL! Have fun! Maybe skip the announcements the first time... Or not. Thinking of them like random blog entries. Once you know the players, their lives become more entertaining.
