You are so right that it's an art, Linda.
We're always saying dialogue needs to sound realistic, but it's not exactly the way we speak.

I do feel that dialogue is a great means of getting readers involved in a story. I've seen books written with almost all dialogue all the way down to only tiny bits.

Do you currently use much dialogue in your stories?

Yes, the Read Aloud function is very helpful. It's been available since 2019 version, and after Googling, I found there are some other cool features too. I'll have to try these out!
