Yup, I suppose that's the crux of it! Just like any other crowded marketplace with 159 million competing products, publishers have to solve problems. For example, Ebooks only reach about 5% of the market, so the question is really whether you want to include the other 95% and, if so, which parts! I ignored bookstores for my first 15 years but once I realized how to incorporate it into the strategy, our sales grew several thousand percent.
