I tend to write stories in third person, but sometimes I enjoy a good foray into first person.

I will say that POV has always been a struggle for me. I'm naturally curious and I want to know what EVERYONE is thinking about. That doesn't work for a story, so I had to get better at all the tools so there was no head-hopping. (Like there was in my early decades-ago drafts that I deleted all traces of. LOL)

First person is most natural for me. It seems to suit the farcical stories I write. Most "serious authors" writing on writing denigrate first person POV. "How to Write Novels like Tolstoy" by Richard Cohen one of the few books to give it some play.
